Blended fresh berries with almond milk and Konjac spaghetti. For those of you who have not yet heard of Konjac spaghetti then you will love this great ingredient.
konjac is basically made from 97% water and 3% fiber from the konjac plant (a water-soluble dietary fibre). It's a common ingredient in Japan.
BeRight, produce this great product as an Asian spaghetti which is great in savoury dishes but are versatile enough to create desserts and smoothies. If you would like to try this very healthy smoothie, full of Vitamin C and anti-oxidants follow my recipe below.
Very Berry Smoothie
Makes 2 servings
Time to make: 5 minutes
125g BeRight Konjac Spaghetti
1 cup frozen or fresh mixed berries or blueberries
1 ripe banana
1 cup low fat yoghurt
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup crushed ice
1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Place all the ingredients in the blender and process for 30 seconds to a minute, until smooth, but still with a little texture. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
This smoothie needs to be drunk within 15 minutes of making as it starts to separate after this time.
